Learn to Lead in Healthcare

MGH Institute of Health Professions provides a proven approach to health professions education, grounded in a commitment to health equity, defined by collaboration, and backed by Mass General Brigham.

As the only degree-granting member of this world-class health system, we provide students with access to clinical sites, research opportunities, and mentorship.  From day one, students train the way they will practice: together, in service of better care and better outcomes.

  • The Mass General Brigham Advantage

As the only degree-granting member within Mass General Brigham, the Institute offers access to premier clinical sites, top-tier research collaborations, and state-of-the-art facilities. This includes opportunities to engage in healthcare innovation and translational research, while gaining hands-on experience, mentorship, and potential career pathways within one of the nation’s most prestigious health systems, preparing practice-ready healthcare professionals.

  • Interprofessional By Design

Patient care is complex, and care teams must understand the roles and responsibilities of each discipline, including nursing, PT, OT, etc., all in service of the patient. Interprofessional education is not a side feature. It is embedded in our DNA. Through interprofessional healthcare collaboration across classrooms, clinics, and research settings, students learn to lead and work across disciplines to improve patient outcomes.

  • Health Equity in Action

We prepare students to address real-world disparities with data, empathy, and culturally responsive care. Our approach reflects a commitment to health equity focused healthcare education, embedded across curriculum, community partnerships, research, and clinicals, preparing graduates to lead efforts that improve outcomes for all.

We offer many common prerequisite courses online to help professionals meet requirements in a flexible format. If you’re concerned about meeting the requirements of one of our programs, speak with an Admissions Counselor to discuss your options.

  • Are there any financial aid or scholarship opportunities?

In addition to loans and self-funding, you'll have the opportunity to qualify for scholarships and student work opportunities, where you’ll earn a small stipend for your work as a graduate assistant, research assistant, or teaching assistant.
