MGH Institute of Health Professions provides a proven approach to health professions education, grounded in a commitment to health equity, defined by collaboration, and backed by Mass General Brigham.
As the only degree-granting member of this world-class health system, we provide students with access to clinical sites, research opportunities, and mentorship. From day one, students train the way they will practice: together, in service of better care and better outcomes.
As the only degree-granting member within Mass General Brigham, the Institute offers access to premier clinical sites, top-tier research collaborations, and state-of-the-art facilities. This includes opportunities to engage in healthcare innovation and translational research, while gaining hands-on experience, mentorship, and potential career pathways within one of the nation’s most prestigious health systems, preparing practice-ready healthcare professionals.
Patient care is complex, and care teams must understand the roles and responsibilities of each discipline, including nursing, PT, OT, etc., all in service of the patient. Interprofessional education is not a side feature. It is embedded in our DNA. Through interprofessional healthcare collaboration across classrooms, clinics, and research settings, students learn to lead and work across disciplines to improve patient outcomes.
We prepare students to address real-world disparities with data, empathy, and culturally responsive care. Our approach reflects a commitment to health equity focused healthcare education, embedded across curriculum, community partnerships, research, and clinicals, preparing graduates to lead efforts that improve outcomes for all.

"The support system throughout the whole program and after you graduate is by far the best aspect of this program. The community supports you professionally, personally and academically. You truly become a family."
